Wiring has stumped me
« on: 11 February 2010, 14:42 »
I'am still installing my sound system had to get the headunit out again.  The thing is it was working fine, then when i've put it back in its little cubby hole its desided not to work, its not the headunit because i've tried 2 others that work in the house, and they to didnt power up.  I've checked the fuse and the wiring i can see just incase i've pinched a cable.  The car in question is my mk3 golf was wondering if anyone can help or point me in right direction.

cheers

Sounds like a trapped wire when installed. Re-check all the connections, try to tuck the excess wiring then slowly push the unit in.

When working on car wiring - try not to bodge stuff.  It'll only lead to further problems!

what you have done ( assuming it is done correctly) would be fine, I have my HU set up like this.
