i certainly would tell the insurance about a remap just incase, in the event of a crash it is very unlikely that they will check for the map but if they do you are screwed. There are some companys that reset the flash count and you can add the standard map back on but in the event of a crash it may not be possible to upload your standard map back on.

Its possible too see most of the tuners maps anyways if you are in the know even with the flash count reset and the "standard Map" loaded back up.
