Engine Codes

This is pretty bad to be asking but I'm buying new spark plugs and obvioulsy I need to know the engine code for this(so I don't buy the wrong ones) but I can't figure out what engine code I have, I can't see it anywhere on the engine block. I've got an 'M' plate 1.8 driver. Can anyone tell me what engine code I have?

Thanks been told to look on the timing belt cover so I will try both tomorrow once it's light again.

yup its also on the top of the original timing belt covers.

i just found out last night its also on my V5/logbook under engine number, not sure if all have it, was something like ADY2309402394?

if you have the service book yeah a copy of the boot sticker is stuck on the inside cover
