Cheers, i think i'm going to try and put the bottom of the 2.0 engine in....i've got a daily drive to get me to work, so can take my time, and if i mess it up, i can always put it back together again how it used to be....

bloke had the 1800 head and 2.0 bottom end with a different g/box on in a mk1 - wicked car.. you'll have fun if your stripping it all back.

whiter_than - I got the car through somone more capable and i reckon if they couldn't suss i can't - plus the interior is wanted - so at least it will be well pillaged before it goes..
