Just as a point of moaning, I had a vandalism claim once, same idea doesn't effect NCD, but a quick experiment on insurance sites, shows that a full NCD but your last claim of so and so has to be declared, and thus your quote shoots up.
Did that make sense? I know what I mean!
Point being, I do wonder whether PNCD is worth it?

Makes perfect sense to me.
To have protected no claims really means you have to stay with the one company. As soon as you move companies and then declare you have had a claim it shoots up like you say.  But on the other hand if you stay with the same company, the insurance generally goes up. So like you say, is it really worthwhile having PNC?

Just reading this thread.... SCUM. It really is one of the lowest crimes and almost impossible to catch anyone actually doing it. Like you, i too would be raging.
