I'm pretty sure the hub is the same  but the wheel bearing carrier is different ;)

i have got the lot, hub, carrier and caliper and carrier, its just the wheel bearings are shot as are pads/discs, but the problem is when i order new parts  do i ask for late mk2 golf 16v bearings/disc/pads or passat, im pretty sure the wheel bearings are the same but not sure on the pads discs??
cheers

ive just done the 256 upgrade on mine. its not on the road yet but i have been told it is a very good upgrade as many will tell. you may want to upgrade the master cylinder to the larger one and maybe invest in some braided lines.

MK2 16v or Passat, either is fine as they're the same bearing ;)

Never mind the garage heaters, sounds like you'd do well to invest in some Plusgas before starting work
