Head unit power cap?
« on: 12 August 2004, 13:23 »
I saw an article in Fast Car magazine some time back that someone is now producing a power cap for your head unit.
Only problem is i can't find the magazine nor any retailers selling them, anyone seen them about?

Just use thicker cable for the main power in lead.
Wire it straight to the battery terminal (via a decent quality fuse holder and fuse). Ensure you use the same thickness of wire for the earth (-) conection.

If you still want a cap, just buy an electrolytic cap rated at 16v. The bigger the value the bigger the physical size.
