I would say that mine has a fair bit of poke, it gets up hills no problem, and at higher speeds it picks up REALLY quickly (60+). And it is the 90BHP engine.

I Presume yours is the 90bhp 1.8?   What do you think of it?  Mine is the 75 and its... slow.  Infact its no diffrent to my old 1.4.   Im thinking of just dropping in a new engine if i cant sort these problems so if the 90bhp one has a bit more poke i will specificly look for that one.

I've the 90bhp one as well, it's alright. not crazy fast but as long as you don't expect it to be its fine, it's quick enough for day to day. pulls well in higher gears.

Ok sounds a fair bit more impressive than my 75bhp engine then  :grin:
