amp and speakers

guys and gals

im gunna sound stupid but ....

ive had an amp and 6x9s for ages and now want to put them in my golf, i have the standard head unit that is in the mk5s which also comes with the 6cd changer in the centre armrest

is there a room in the back of the head unit for me to wire these up or does it have to be a non factory fitted stereo

cheers for help, however simple this question is

the car is a 54 plate
wants a gt tdi

depends if the amp has high level inputs or not. personaly i wouldnt bother with the 6x9`s and just amp up the oem speakers to start. thers a big misconception that its the speakers that are at fault with a poor sounding system when nine times out of ten its because the h/u is running out of power

This si especially true for the mk5. You should see a good improvement in sound with just an amp.
Not low enough mk5
Not on the road enough mk3
