positive had the noise low grumbling sound front left disappears cornering
when i first noticed it changed wheel bearing still hear noise!
Changed cv still heared noise (cv makes grumbling noise when cornering, so didn't think it was that)
noticed play in d/shaft, so as my box had done 189k and had big 2nd gear clonk bought recon-box and new driveshafts. If in doubt I would change d/shaft and see if that sorts it!

Knew it was same as my problem gearbox hub bearings. One other piece of advice avoid techniclutch
I bought one of their fast road clutches of ebay and it failed after just 2000 miles. They didn't want to know when I contacted them. I don't mis-treat my car, so failire wasn't down to this just poor quality!!
