You may remember my dissappointing dyno results at AmD, i was convinced i was losing boost, but having checked and double checked all connections i was stumped.
As a last resort i decided to change the turbo inlet for a samco silicon part. Fitted it myself thismorning, took about 2 and a half hours thanks to rain stopping the play.. but it's definitely a DIY job if you have ramps (remember to unclip the front valance or you'll be ripping it off)
Anyway, as I was reassembling everything.. the tiny little hose that comes out of the top of the DV literally crumbled in my hands.. this is impossible to spot visibly because it was wrapped in some sort of heat protective material. This would explain why i thought i could hear the boost being dumped during acceleration.
Managed to bodge (and i do mean
bodge ) together a temporary replacement and took it out for a spin.. et voila.. power is back.. and so is the lovely torque steer when i floor it

Spotted a loose manifold bolt while i was under the car so nibbed that up too. Hands are cut to shreds but i don't care

Can't wait to see what jabba get out of it on Monday !
