vRStu could you tell me where that quote came from ?

No remapping of turbo,

to be fair its a car that isn't treated as well as it could of been regarding letting it cool down after use etc,


Servicing has been at the regular intervals , all by this dealership !

Is should of been harder with them when they returned the vehicle after its 30'000 mile service once, they failed to place the oil cap back on, ended up in a right old mess!!



The dealership and VW customer care have stated that there is no warranty on parts replaced under your main 3 year 60'000 mile warranty!!!  what a rip off !!

Think its time to call trading standards !

Yes I suppose they are right in saying that if the parts were replaced under the warranty then they will only be covered to the extent of that warranty.

Regardless of that, the parts should be fit for purpose and you could argue that you had an inherrant problem that wasn't satisfactorialy dealt with during the recent repair.

You didn't say if you were on Long Life servicing or not.  If you are then I would revert to fixed or do mid term oil changes if I were you.

My dads on long life servicing on his TT I dont like the idea of that. I have got a mk4 turbo and im gonna change the oil and filter every 5000 miles now what does everyone else think?
