Pfffft I'd be leaving it on your dealers forecourt with a letter telling them that all comunication should be done via your solicitor.

That dont sound right mate something definatly aint right there. Shouldnt keep killing turbos. Have you checked the oil feed pipe to the turbo?

Don't any parts fitted by VW have a 2 year warranty?

Still not good, park it in the showroom entrance and let all know.

Its a standard,  car , no mods ,

VW's posistion is that , the latest turbo fitted in june 08, only had warranty up to our 60'000 even though its - 6 months old and has done no more than 10'000 miles,

they have offered to help out with the cost of the repair , but only about 40% of the cost, which considering we were never offered an extended warranty, have 2 vehicles serviced there, they have made all the money on the past warranty works and we also have 7 vw Crafter vans, i think still isn't good enough !

I have got out of them that they have not conducted a DISS report after the second turbo blew to try and highlight any underling problem which isn't very good.

Does VW have brand managers, or people that deal specifically with these issues ?

Thanks in advance

It would seem that Turbo failure is not un-common on VAG Group cars. I know they're not the same engines but my Dad just had the turbo replaced on his A3 1.9TDI at 31K miles and a mate on his Touareg TDI V6 at less than 40K miles... both under warranty... both were down to unspecified failures (I suspect bearings in both cases)...

Let me guess, you're on Long Life Servicing??

As above all VW parts carry a 2 year warranty, regardless of the mileage on your car that turbo hasn't done 60k.  So you shouldn't have to pay for the turbo and then it's all down to negotiation how much you pay for the installation.

Your new car warranty will have expired at 60k, are they confusing it with that?
