hello

8v GTI digi... recently had timing and CO done (around 2 weeks ago) and new cambelt kit fitted. also new rotor arm, dizi cap, plugs, oil and filter change. problem was there
before this work was carried out. (i assumed the work would cure it).
2 problems in one i fear; dodgy idle and small loss of power.
its starts, idles and drives fine when cold, but when warm it feels a touch sluggish and the idle speed has been creeping up over the last week (to around 1500rpm). pulled off ISV plug when the engine was hot and noticed it returned to normal idle speed. at the mo i have adjusted the idle back down to around 900rpm with the idle screw, but will clean the ISV over the weekend. it still idles fine when cold even after the adjustment.
question is, would a buggered ISV cause loss of power? feels like the old girl has lost (a small amount of) poke

p.s. blue temp sender is 12 months old, genuine VAG
