Just got a years RAC cover for my GTI for £15.50 !

Never had a problem with the RAC, always turned up (where ever & whatever time of day/night), always been within the time specified, normally a damn site quicker too. It's you that's covered not an individual car, so you don't even have to be the driver! Pretty inexpensive too!

im with the AA, and ive had to call them out twice, and first time guy was very good, sorted the problem out in 20 minutes, second time though, oooooooh dear. Took about one hour for the guy to arrive, then he couldnt sort out the problem, so i had to upgrade to recovery thing to get a tow home, then i had to wait another hour for a flatbed to arrive, but then another van came saying sorry no flatbeds available, closest one is 2 hours away, so i had to get a tow for about 20 miles, i was tired, couldnt be bothered to steer and the guy was pelting it aswell. oh well, no more troubles since then. will be moving to the RAC next year though.

and to think you could have had all-Europe cover from ADAC for only 79 Euros, with no stupid age limits and much more generous cover, as well as someone who says 'what time would you like us to be with you?' rather than 'you'll be lucky if we turn up'.

Ah well, at least it was cheap.

My dad is with them (he has a few year old car plus an old AS camper), reckons they are good!

I'm still with RAC but only til it runs out! Have to say though RAC have always been good for me, never waited more than about 15 mins.

Im with the AA and find them much better than RAC called the aa out loads of times always turn up quickley even had one turn up as i was just putting the phone down on the operater.  RAC on the other had wouldnt trust them to turn up at all. broke down in a company car which is on rac policy rang them up bloke turned up after hour and a half looked at it n said i carnt tow that. ull have to wait for recover truck. so he moved me away from the slip road off the m1 and took me to a pub car park n said wait for the recovery truck. It turned up 6 hours later. As you can imagine i wasnt best pleased with them.
