'they' say the 16v pas rack is quicker than a normal pas rack too, not really seen anything to back this up but the part numbers do differ in etka!
Wouldn't a 16V PAS rack be stronger than an 8V? Can you pop a 16V rack on an 8V?

But for the purest engine experience, displacement has no replacement. All other methods are simply attempts to artificially recreate the benefits of displacement.

wouldn't say it would be any stonger, but yeah it'll bolt on direct.  I dont think its worth the hassle if you already have a perfectly fine pas rack, but maybe if yours is broke or you're upgrading a 16v one would be more desirable.  iirc the early corrado rack is the same as the MK2 16v, cant get access to me copy of ETKA to double chack.

wee bit more work involved than "popping" on a steering rack.

i have found with the pas you can actually adjust how 'assisted' it is by the tension of the belt to a certain extent
