sorry if this is in the wrong section, please move if so

anyone know of a cheap, and very effective way os sound deadening?? as soon to be putting in a new interior and thought it would b a gd idea to put some dynamat (or wotever its called) in but its very exspensive!! any ideas??

My mate fully lined his Vito out with that and it's made an incredible difference, waaaaaaaaaay cheaper than dyna mat too and almost the same effect.

Gonna do my Golf as I go along/next take bits off.

are you sure? roofing felt to b used as sound deading material??

Noooo not roofing felt, flashing tape, totally different stuff. It's almost the same as Dynamat but for about a quarter of the cost. We've tried both branded Dynamat and standard flashing tape and there was no real difference between them in the end result. Flashing tape is heavier though.

I was just going to say the same thing. im thinking of trying it around mine just to remove some of the reverbaration(sp) from the pipe

mk3 16v 5dr Gti,mintex extreme pads,drilled/grooved discs,lowered,cat back powerflow system,omp panel filter with modified airbox,debadged grill, started prep for spraying, lots to come :D
