Hi  - can you help or is this a dealer visit?

I have recently had my MFD2 sat nav changed by the dealer under warranty, as a result of changing this they managed to scratch  the fascia around my climate controls - after complaining they put in a brand new unit and surrounding plastics  - result.

The problems I now have is that the Sat Nav states all the distances in Kilometres and I prefer good old fashioned miles - how do I get the unit to convert from km to miles?
and the  other being that when I sychronize the driver and passenger climate control settings with the 3 second hold of the auto button - the two temps converts to 22c instead of what I had mine set to  - for example if i set mine to Lo and then hit the Auto button to synch the passengers side to this  - it doesnt - but sets them both to 22c!?!?    it worked before !!

Does the MFD2 come with an instruction manual? I would have tought its a simple settings button that you need to push to get it back to miles rather than kilometers. I know its the boring option but a good read of the manual will tell you how to put it back.

As for the A/C no idea, sorry.

Re the air-con, the press and hold method you describe is designed to do that - somthing about optimum factory settings being 22 deg C.  If you want to synchronise the passenger temp to the same as the drivers, just briefly press the "dual" button.

Ive looked through the manual and zip! But after playing with the menus etc I eventually solved the problem - you have to go the language setting - there are two settings for english - metric and imperial - just toggle between them for your desired setting - km or miles.

OK TT  - will try the dual button way of synchronising - I think the problem is that when VW changed the climate controls they gave me the updated ones as I dont think I had the dual button previously! 

Will make sure I read the manual thoroughly cover to cover next time before I post and stop being a lazy git!
