head swap

hi is it possible to put a 1.8 or 2.0 head on a 1.6 block, i got a 1.6 GL and i thought about posting the head but then i had an idea or changing the head to a 1.8 or even a 2.0 i know i would need to change pistons and other items but is it possible

I don't think so, totally different engines, the 16V is DOHC so that's a no no. Not sure about the 8V although it's injection & I'm not sure if the 1.6 is injections/ carb...

the 1.8L and 2.0L are a diffrent block.  you can fit a 1.4 or 1.6L head,  Now. if you have the pre 95 engine you can fit the post 95 AEE head with a few mods, this has better porting and you can also convert the fuel system to run the Multi poit injection but your much better getting the whole engine.
