lowering problems golf vr6

right i cant get the nut off the top mounts.there so solid that the allenkey broke in one top mount so im well stumped.ive tryed mole grips on the leg but still turns.any ideas or help please before i get the grinder out and and cut the hole leg off :cry: :cry:

did you have the spring clamps on ?

you need spring clamps to compress spring ,if you had undone the nut on the top you wouldn't off had a face mate.

compress spring and the nut will be easier to undo :smiley:

drive it to a garage and ask nicely for them to zap it off and then back on loosly,  if its not to far, keep the bolts loose!  if your local garage is a few miles away bang them back up with the air gun, either way it will be easyer when you come to undo it
