They are hard, just give them a tug, maybe your not being man enough

mine was easy to take off but my mates woudnt budge so he braoke it to pieces with a hammer !

use a long screwdriver to try and prise it out.
fitting my vents were easy once i took out the 10mm bolt which was replaced after fitting the vent.
