Power to rail behind the head Please help
« on: 02 February 2008, 14:02 »
Trying to sort my high idle issue out and got the multimeter to check that all the leads had power. Everything did except the rail behind the head below the throttle body. This is the one thats connected to the head. Should this be getting power when the ignition is turned. The car wasn't started as I have the ISV off cleaning it for the second time.

Please tell me

That sounds like the injector rail.

Guessing it will only show power with the engine running. Doubt the engine will even run with it unplugged unless you tap into the wires.

I dont think that this is causing your your high idle.

I had this high idle problem.

It was the throttle switch (top one). The wires to it were broken as predicted by 'rubjonny'
