Would the R32 brakes be an improvement on the standard ed30 brakes and capable of handling 300 bhp ?? I dont know much about them apart from the discs being absolutely huge!

They are well up to the job mate. Trust me

Good good. That will be the first mod then

Who says it is overpriced?

Not me. I could have bought an R32 for roughly the same money as i bought the ED30 for.

I simply liked the looks of the ED30 over the R32 up front. If the R32 had the same kind of front as the ED30 then maybe things would have been different. Perhaps it is a mod that all R32 owners should have  :lipsrsealed:

I think mods to cars are as much to do with having something that the owner knows is a little bit different to everyone else. In some ways what women say about cars being an extension of a mans dangly bits isn't far off the mark. Although I would have to draw the line at the bigger your car is the smaller your d1ck is. Some people just like their extension to be "slighlty different" to others

If I keep my mods under the bonnet and out of sight, then I suppose my "extension" looks normal, but delivers more thrust

I too could have had a very nice R32 for the money paid for my ed30. I chose not to buy one due to the lack of tuneability without spending stupid money i.e turbo conversion. I dont think the R32 is overpriced I think it is good value for money!

Absolutely agree.

If you look at all the other manufacturers out there, there simply isn't a single one which can make a similar specced car with the same desirability and quality as the R32 (or ED30 for that matter) at the same price mark.

Cant argue with the tuning possibilities of the Ed30. It simply undercuts the R32! i dont think its over priced of course, i have been looking/thinking about all the extra bits you get on the R32 and to be honest i dont think VW will make much more on an R32 than they will any other Gti (dont know this for certain of course).

But overall i like the subtle little bits extra you get for the money... and well.. if you do have an extra 15k buring a hole in your pocket, then go visit the people at HPA!

my mod for 2008 is to trade in the GTI for a R32
If that fails then trade it in for an ED30.

Better get saving
