Dropping subframe
« on: 03 June 2007, 16:37 »
Hey guys, im having real trouble removing my downpipe. I've managed to get the 6 bolts undone that hold the downpipe to the manifold, and im now trying to remove it from the car. I've removed the 4 bolts holding the subframe up and dropped it as far down as i can I also removed the bolts at the bottom of the struts to see if that helped, but i cant get the subframe low enough to remove the downpipe. anyone got any ideas??? :nerd:

I tried getting it out through the gap above the gearbox with no luck, as the gear linkages got in the way. Ill have a go at removing the steering rack and seeing if that gives me enough clearence. Now wheres my haynes manual..... :nerd:
