Intermittent Power and oil light and buzzer!??
« on: 23 May 2007, 10:49 »
Just bought a mk2 8v (G Plate) and have a small prob that I'm after a bit advice on:- Driving between about 30 - 60 if I keep my foot constant on the accelerator the car will take power then stop taking. Makes for a pretty lumpy ride, just wondering if anyone has any advice/experience they can pass on? Thanks

What system is the car running? K-jet or digifant?

Thanks for the suggestion, however - when the engine is up to temperature if I turn it off and restart it, it fires straight up to 2000 rpm and the oil light & buzzer comes on. If i let it cool down a bit it will fire up at the usual 700 rpm & I can drive it fine until it reaches temperature, then it all starts again....any ideas??

Try and change your blue temp sensor and check the oil level first. You may just have a dodgy oil pressure sensor.
