Anyone fitted a phatbox to their MkV?
Where did you put the main unit?
Did you strip it out from the large "heatsink"?

got it fitted to my MKIV in the spare wheel well. it didn't fit the CD changer bracket despite it saying it would.  Also if you look over on www.vwvortex.com i think there are one or two people who have removed the main unit and fitted the hard drive bit into their glove box

I assume you've spotted them on Ebay? think the dealers want something stupid like £600!!  :shocked:

I bought mine off ebay just over a year ago (about £ 180)  and have it in my Audi...have just bought a second unit off ebay which I want to put in the Golf so I can just swap the DMS cartridge from car to car. I'll have a gander at the vwvortex link and see what can be done.

The stealership prices are stupid for these things.
