theres a main cable round the rear and another down each side of the hood. Make sure all 3 are replaced otherwise the hood wont sit properly
As for the immobilisor I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole, rip it out and replace I'd say

Cheapest I can find em is £100 new off ebay, which isn't bad but still a bit hard on the wallet!
