Not Again

My mk2 is being bad again. It keeps judderin - when I put my foot down there is no power and when idle it nearly cuts out. Then all of a sudden it will b fine.

Hasn't done it for ages tho. We replaced fuel pump and filter recently. Spark plugs etc were changed bout 10000 (woah done that much already) ago.

Any ideas would be helpful

Could be damp causing it to 'miss'. What are your HT leads and dizzy cap like?
Have a look under the bonnet in the dark with the engine running........is there lots of arcing and flashing?

ht leads and dizzy cap changed same time as sparks to try and stop the problem. No arcing and flashing as I know but will check tonight. If I get home  

When I try and take her to garage she's fine whilst in garage but as soon as I get her she starts playin up

I agree with the coil. They tend to break down when they get warm. What about the Hall Effect sensor in the dizzie? What year and engine is your car?

'90 H reg 8v

It only does it in mornings and its wen its at low revs. If I keep it bove 1.5 then its k and wen cars warm its ok. Don't wanna drive thru it incase by pushin it it does more harm than good.

got rid of it in the end.

Sounds like carb icing

edit: apprantly not, as you dont have a carb'd car!
