spark plugs leaking oil
« on: 30 January 2007, 16:53 »
hi all, i have a 2.0 8v and have a oil leak problem, the oil is leaking out from the spark plugs. i have done the rocker cover gasket. it has had an effect on the porformance, as the car is not responsive as it used to be. have a look at the pic.

does anyone know what this is called, it's what the oil breather pipe goes into at the bottom of the engine

that pipe is the crankcase breather pipe i think.

If you have oil getting into the cylinders it may be being forced in due to excess pressure in the crank case.

take that pipe off and the other part of it that goes to the throttle body and make sure they're not blocked.

i'm sure someone else will be along with some more suggestions soon.
