Which dials do you mean Han ? Do you mean the main display, i.e. speedo, rev counter and temp gauge or as mentioned above some extra vdo gauges ?

but without them its like not having a rev counter or engine temp - you cant tell what thecars is doing... does that makle sense!?

  The oil temp should be on the MFA, does it have one?  the oil pressure is covered by a warning light & buzzer so guages for that isn't really necessary its just a nice thing to have 

  actually if only 2 of the 3 are missing its probably got the oil temp, so certainly no reason to pass the car off if the rest is good, the other guages are easy to fit later if you really want them

No not at all, they're easy to fit if you want them though

So did some tintop mk1 have vdo gauges from the factory then ? If so then did some old cabs have them too ? I can't remember.
