What are these connections? (with pics)

Fuel was leaking out from the back, nearside rear when I was trying to start.

I think I have connected up the starter motor incorrectly and it must not be turning the engine, therefore the fuel pressure must have built up and caused it to burst out of a pipe, cos I think I hear the fuel pump running...

Could this be correct?

I know what you mean about the coil, it is in a bad state     I will replace it when I can afford a new one.

It must be something to do with the starter motor cos I didnt hear anything normal, like the starter turning.

The cylinder head earth wire broke on my digi and car was dead. Thought it was fuel pump or relay but spotted that this wire was broken. Fixed the wire and car started immediately

Thats a relief to know.

Ithink I heard the fuel pump working, and I noticed fuel was running out from the back.  My earth wire is broken.  I seem to have two on there (it is a newer engine) previously I only had the one wire.

Do you know where they both should go?
