Anyone hear of an after market head up display? Would be a big help with DSG.
03 210 Seat LCR. Badger5 V2.2TIP, Fordge 007p, Wellycooler, Quaife ATB LSD, Nuespeed ARB's, KW Clubsports, 330mm discs, 3" turbo back de cat and still on the standard map!

Agreed I'll find out BUT it would be difficult with the car having a can-bus system!

I think VW should have a "page" in the fuel computer that is just the gear that you are in. i.e. a big 1 or R or S etc

Here is a crappy one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Head-up-Display-gauge-project-speed-RPM-on-windscreen_W0QQitemZ160036581295QQihZ006QQcategoryZ72215QQssPageNameZWD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Yes that does look a bit ropey. Evan a shift light similar to the Enzo would be a help. It really pees me of when I hold on to long to shift up and both me and the car go up a gear (two gears!!!). Wish VW had just fitted a rev limiter, it's the one down side to DSG for me.

In theory shouldn't it be easier?  The gear, revs, speed etc will all be transmitted on the CAN-Bus, so an adaptor (into a reader) onto the bus should be able to tap into that info?
