brake pad sizes

does anyone know what the sizes of the brake pads are on an 89 reg 16 valve, just saves me having to take the wheel off and measure mine,

they should be 256mm brake disc's. so you need pads to match the 256mm setup

Isn't 89 the change over year when they went from 239mm to 256mm, if so I would check.

the last of the 16v small bumpers (F-reg's) also had 256mm brakes

so yours should have them. but checking probably isnt a bad idea

You'll have to check, remember some early spec MK2s got registered as late as a G plate!  AFAIK only big bumper 16vs got 256mm brakes, but I may be wrong.
