sub amp combo
« on: 04 October 2006, 11:14 »
Hi ppl,
I have a pioneer 12" 400w rms sub and an Kicker 4 channel amp which i had bridged i think 120w, been running this in my polo for a long time. now im gonna put his in my golf, but i think the box for the pioneer is massive. I listen to R&B music mainly and the pioneer sounds good, is there anything out there you guys would recommend 10" wise, like vibe or something, smaller but same sound????

I also have an alpine mrp-305 350w amp i can use.

Does the amp rms have to be greater then then rms of the sub?]

Probably wont get the same from a 10"
Look at the frequency response of speakers.

The speaker should have a greater wattage rating than the amp. That way ya cant blow the speaker.
