Problems with quickshift

Hi all

I fitted a rally design quickshift kit to my golf today but when i put the weighted shift rod back on it would not go into 1st 3rd 5th or reverse. :huh: :huh:

Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so how did you overcome it?

u have to bend the weighted shift rod pins so that it doesnt rub against the box.

Dont bother with the weighted rod mate. makes no diffrence with the quick shift

I disagree, you need the weighted rod more with a short shifter as you loose leverage due to the shorter shift.  Fitting a weight helps give you a bit more force when you change gears.

Try flipping the weight over the other way if you get me, can help if its catching on the box or linkages!
