4wd drive but what engine?

ok, ive got teh gear box from the syncro coming!

ive been offered a 1.8t for 700 quid the lot...... what will i need to get that in... would i need that gear box or what ger box would fit on?

just had a look at a few things and dont i just need the transfer box?  i mean to run the 4wd?

Im no gearbox expert but id guess you need a full 4wd gearbox. Preferbly one off a G60 sncro and not the 1.8 carb syncro.  The latter wont handle the power. The gearbox will bolt to the 20vT no problem. When you say the lot for £700 what do you mean? Do you get the loom and clocks too?

yeah it was for the loom ecu, driveshafts, box and rads..... basically everything. but i dont have 700 quid today lol.

ive looked and the g60 syncro has a transfer box aswell. they both bolt onto the back of a standard gti gear box....... so if a vr6 box fits etc,,,,, thena the transfer box should fot on.....
