my setup

hey guys as some u may have read im new
 i got 2 12" fli 1000w subs in my boot
vibe 6x9s
vibe monobox and blackbox
with a fusion headunit n apline type r door speakers
needs all tweakin a bit but what u lot think of the basics?

I'm no audiophile, but as I understand it having 6x9s in the parcel shelf AND subs (especially more than one) in the boot is a bad idea, because the subs are affecting the air pressure on the back of the 6x9 speakers so they simply won't sound as good as they should do.

Aside from that, I'm sure it sounds fine, although I personally wouldn't fill my boot with that much bass - I might go for a single 10", but I do occasionally want to put shopping and stuff in there... :smiley:

I definitely would've posted before buying all that stuff tho - not that I can see anything wrong, but plenty of people here might know of better stuff for the same kind of money.

That sounds like some serious sh!t you've got there mate, in my last Golf I had a set of infinity dash speakers, JBL 6x9's in the shelf and a Vibe 12 inch sub in vibe ported enclosure being run with JBL amp in the boot and that sounded wicked. I would imagine that the bass in yours will be simply awesome when set up correctly  :shocked:

I'd say its definately worth investing in some decent door speakers for sound quality, also to level out the sound or it'll be way too bass heavy  :smiley:

well i got the car with all that in it already guys
didnt spend a penny on the sound system
the 6x9s arent in a shelf there in a custom inclosure with the subs n amps
