16v vacuum advance

Hello,

Any VW guru's out there could help me with my vacuum circuit for KR engine?
Ideally if someone could draw me a diagram of what connects to what since currently nothing is connected at all .

It looks like you have a slightly different setup to me though

I have no EGR or carbon canister system. My engine is a '90 UK model.
I do however have a vacuum inlet on my ECU which is controlling vaccuum advance.
I guess this needs to know vaccuum in the vicinity of the throttle body?

Dashboard conects to the MFA right?

I also have a vacuum conection at the overrun cuttoff valve and some kind of pressure diaphragm next to it. I cant tell if this is the same as the on/off valve and frequency valve on your diagram.

MFA is the dash yeah, you should actually have a diagram like this in your engine bay somewhere, usually on the bonnet or slam pannel (assuming your car originally was a 16v)
I've never actually owned a 16v myself so I can't really offer much more help!

Unfortunately i don't have the car that came with this engine..

Can anyone help me work out how my vacuum advance is meant to connect?

I'm hoping to make it to stoner park on the 4th, could be a good chance to check out some vacuum circuits

I have another diagram from the haynes which seems to show a vacuum connection from the throttle body T's off to the vacuum advance and the Overrun cut-off & Diaphragm pressure valves:

looks like good stuff, just got a load of vacuum hose so will have a go at connecting it up this weekend.
