Hi.
On my mk4 1.8T my recirculating valve (dump valve?) makes a bit of a noise, i know it is supposed to, but this is more like a chuffing noise when i change gear, it has been getting more prominent over the last few days and i thought i read on here somewhere that it could be knackered?
Question is, is it worth replacing the standard one with something like a forge. Are these any better in quality, durability and does it really reduce turbo lag as it says on the box?
Also when i floor it, once the turbo has kicked in the acceleration seems to studder a few times momenterally every now and again, not had a turbo car before so noy sure if its normal or not..
Could these be the same problems?
Any info greatfully recieved.
Sam
