My Ice so far is:

Alpine CDA 9812RB Head Unit
Alpine iPod Adapter
Alpine Type S 5" Components in the doors, tweeters in dash
Blaupunkt 5" CoAxials in centre console

I have, but haven't fitted, a Vibe CBR12 Sub, Alpine 6x9s (will be boxed into stealth shelf) but need a decent amp for the 6x9s, it sounds bloody amazing at the moment and the speakers in the centre console look factory...

How does the KCA-420i work with the older Alpine headunits?

it sees it as a changer, but works exactly how the newer ones work, just make sure its an AI net eith the little file search button
