[Mk1Mad J - 16v]

i actually went the other way with mine. My 1800 box packed up a year ago and had to get a replacement asap so I put in a 1979 MK1 1600 box in (10 years older than the one that came out  )  It's made the car so much more fun, I do lose a little bit top end.

A mate of mine did that with an old 2.8 sierra (is that swearing on here ) a 1.6 box made the thing go like a rocket  it only did about 100mph, sounded like a bag of bolts and looked and handled like a dog turd but damn fast
