Inside rear doors scratching
« on: 21 June 2020, 19:57 »
Wiping down the inside of the rear doors today and noticed (same place on both sides) has a couple of scratches. Very fine but taken the paint off. It’s inline with the botyom edge of the window.

Anyone else noticed this or know what the cause could be (outside of it just rubbing)?  May have to get some clear 3mm for short term to stop it getting worse.

I've noticed this and would be interested on hearing from others.  I think other than having the dealer take a look (maybe they would mess about and try tweaking the hinges???) 3M tape could be a good shout.

I have this, but in the top corners of both rear doors, same on each side.

It hasn't got any worse in just over a year, so I'm guessing the fitment was a tad too tight, and its rubbed the clear coat off enough to clear it now.

I may look for some 3m tape then if you haven't seen it get worse over the last 12 months.  Don't really want to end up needing paint or even consider that at the moment for how much damage is done at this time.
