I think once you have undone the clips, you simply have to rotate the motor unit to remove it. Whats wrong with it?

WOOW THAT WAS A FAST REPLY! :D

When I tap the motor it slowly turns. This happens on every speed.

It sometimes doesnt work at all and im thinking it needs greasing.
What does a resistor do? Could that be the problem?

All the resistor does is allow the motor to run at different speeds, when it packs up the motor will only work on full speed.

Cheap way of replacing it - find someone with a smacked Golf and offer them a fiver for it.

Works every time.

did you get it off?

there is one clip at the back of it, you need to get a flat head screwdriver and push it up otherwise its impossible to rotate the motor anti-clockwise to remove it

just have a feel of it, or else get a torch & look at it.

its a piece of piss once you see the clip.

mine use to rumble cause of a knackered bearing, so i just went to the scrappy and pinched one

Ohh taking it out is too easy. Sorted the heater by taking it to bits.
There was a spring that was held in place by a metal clip and it was dirty causing the motor to flicker on and off.
