GTI Performance brakes retrofit?

I don't know how that much that lot will cost from VW, but suddenly the extra £1000 for the Performance pack with the brakes and LSD suddenly seems a pretty good deal! 

But you get the PP kit instead of the standard stuff for your £1000, not as well as. I'll never understand how they thought they'd get away with charging over £1000 for a 18-19" wheel 'upgrade' either.

The rears wouldn't need changing would they?

I was always told that a Mk7/Mk7.5 is already over braked at the rear...

You don't need to change the rears. You can if you want full vented rotors all around.

I would be tempted to do the rears at the same time and keep them in line with the uprated fronts.

But they do get away with it! Whilst I agree the prices seem unfathomable the bottom line is they don't have to justify them and will charge what they can get away with. They are a business afterall and are in it for nothing other than a profit!
