Bit of a noob question here, but are these performance figures as a result of the installation of the pedal box only, or has there been an ECU remap done too?  I had thought that the pedal box just tweaked the throttle input map, so I'm struggling to understand how that can result in such a large BHP increase.

Apologies if I've misunderstood all this!

Cheers,

Phil

Nice curves, what map do you run as a daily drive? I found 3+2 too aggressive on the GTI for daily use and the DSG didn't like it. In the end after lots or experiments the 2+3 was perfect from me.

the GTI and GTD use different tuning modules and different files so best not to compare the two :)

Whilst you are here Andrew - have you any observations on using your tuning box with premium diesel? I accidentally picked up the Premium Texaco nozzle the other day, so just went ahead and filled the tank. It honestly felt like another 20bhp had been added to the car, and I don't think it was placebo as I had forgotten all about it until I noticed the car was picking up much faster than normal.

I normally add Millers EcoMax to each tank, but I've never felt the car drive like this.

Also - nice dyno's Finglonga, I've used 2+2 for a long time, would have been interesting to see a +2 vs a +3 too! I can also recommend adding a pedal box if not already.
