can get alot of power from carbs, but if its gonna be ultimate get it on throttle boddies you'll need propper management get it revving up to about 7200rpm it will do it. you'll need to get some APR rod bolts (well studs and nuts actually) steel rods and forged pistons. before thinking of ne think else, my mate had a 2lt 8v doin 200bhp using a bored out block and audi 2.1 pistons, however he melted a piston after the crank pulley slipped. i have considered all this but a turbo is much more efficient, reliable and tonns more low down torque. but it would be nice to see what i could do with a NA 8v.
