Anyone know the numbers on the ECU and Fuel Pump relays on a 2.0 GTI 8v?

ECU relay is position 3 , i.e. Top left third one in on the main relay plate ( not including the added relay holders that clip in to the top )
FUEL PUMP relay is position 12 , i.e. bottom right on main relay plate  (can be a fiddle to get out with lower trim in place )

Hope this helps ,

Cheers mate, thats fantastic...might swap them tomorrow with relays on a fusebox i got hold of - see if it helps with the pinking and rough running.

Had a butchers today...should be an easy job - although fuel pump relay will be tight.

Interesting.....just swapped them over but one of them had a different number on it.
ECU was a straight swap, but fuel pump had number 80 on it, but the replacement has 167 on it - same part number though and it seems to work.

Taking the old girl for a spin tonight to see if she's cured.

relays are the most common solution to this never worked for me so a changed everything still no further foward.know how it feels wen the car gets to ya ave spent absolutely loads tryin to cure this problem mines going on a computer n gettin ecu read see if any faults mite be wise to get this done before ya start to spend money on things that dont need changin like ave done.try it first before ya spend mate

cheers for the advice mate, i'll do as you say cos i can't afford to throw money at her....unless i know it'll fix her - and hopefully an ecu scan will tell me any probs.
