Boot water leak
« on: 31 December 2015, 14:16 »
Hi hope somebody may help with water getting into my boot on a 5 door mk4 , found that the boot was getting condesated a lot recently.
I have taken the plastic trim covering the wiper motor and washer checked the washer hose which seems fine , but now with that plastic trim off a fair amount of water comes down one side on the boot when opened do you think the window seal may have gone? as looking around the rest on the boot i cant see where water would get in.

i have done a searchebut nothing seems to relate to the problem i have cheers for any help.

Broken washer hose is common but if you checked that it's not (did you check at the top of the boot lid too?) that maybe rear light clusters.

The water runs out of the boot lid when you open it , its as if the water comes down the side of the boot window cant see it being anything to do with the lights.

cheers though
