Hi there does anybody know how to identify whether a gearbox has a LSD without fitting it. I have a 020 box and been told it has one. But would like some information as to whether information is correct. Cheers.

Both axles will turn the same way.
Try turning it on one side and if the other sides turns same direction then lsd

As tweed says, you need to jack the car up and spin one wheel. If the other wheel turns in the same direction it has a LSD, if it doesn't then it'll be a standard diff.

Not always as simple, some boxes/factory diff's may spin both wheels the same way still.
I'd just pop the CV cups out, you'll be able to see if it's a factory open gear or not for sure
