RCD510 in 2008 GT - Help!

Hi guys

I've just bought an RCD510 for my mrk 5 2008 Golf GT and i'm now seeing some people are saying it will drain the battery? Have any of you done this?

Also needing advice on what part I need to order to allow me connect my iphone to it to stream music?

that depends on the part number of your canbus gateway, iirc if its L or newer its fine but otherwise it'll drain your battery.
It's easiest to get someone with vagcom to scan your car and tell you what can bus version you have
